Netlife has updated its macOS support policy to align with Apple’s update strategy.
It now supports the latest three major macOS versions, with each new Apple release added to the supported list while the oldest version is phased out.
What This Means for You
If you are using one of the latest three macOS versions, you will continue to receive full support.
If you are using an older version, Netlife applications may still function, but support, updates, and bug fixes will no longer be provided.
Older macOS versions are not blocked; however, any issues encountered on unsupported systems will not be addressed.
Why This Matters
Security & Stability: Older macOS versions no longer receive security updates from Apple, increasing potential risk.
Efficiency: Supporting outdated systems limits the ability to improve and maintain the platform.
Performance: New features and technologies rely on up-to-date operating systems.
GDPR & Data Security
As a European company, Netlife adheres to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which requires appropriate measures to protect personal data. Using outdated operating systems can introduce security vulnerabilities, increasing the risk of data breaches and potential compliance issues.
Keeping your macOS up to date helps ensure both data security and alignment with privacy regulations.
What you need to do
If you are currently using an unsupported macOS version, we strongly recommend upgrading to a supported version. This ensures continued access to:
Security updates
Platform improvements
Full support from both Apple and Netlife
